Regarding the colored bars: The library is color-coded.
Orange = singer/songwriter and real-deal country
Red = rock 'n' roll, rockabilly
Blue = blues
Green = Louisiana music: Cajun, zydeco, brass bands, swamp pop
White = compilations and music that doesn't conveniently fit in other categories, i.e., conjunto, Gospel, Brave Combo

While there's always room for some quibbling about who goes in what category, that's part of the fun. Also, we allegedly use a color wheel, a wheel that's divided into library color-coded segments to correspond with the divisions of the hour so we don't do an entire show of, say, orange songs. That works better with some jocks than others.
